Personal Side of John Bassette

I've been married 24 years to my lovely wife Donna-Lee and we have nine (9) children. John 20, Joel 18, James 16, Joshua 14, Elizabeth 12, Kathryn 10, Matthew 8, Justice 6, Victoria 4.

We've lived in Hartland Vermont since 1983 and lead a busy life home-schooling the children. Our two oldest sons attend West Point (United States Military Academy) - and the children are involved in endless school, recreational and social activities. Running is our primary "family addiction" with budding high school and college track and cross-country champions in the making. :^)

In the Dark Ages (17-20yrs old), I competed on the US Ski Team (Jumping & Nordic Combined). Currently I'm getting in shape for the Vermont 50 and Vermont 100, an annual Ultra-marathon event. Part of my community service involves helping VASS (Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports) with their fundraising efforts related to the Vermont 100.
